Basketball Recap: Florence Takes a Loss

Florence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Llano Yellowjackets, falling 44-16. The Buffaloes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-5.

Llano got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anna Machuga out in front who posted ten points. Those ten points gave Machuga a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hailey Lucas, who put up eight points.

Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Llano, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Florence will square off against Blanco at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Llano, they will face off against Comfort at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
