Volleyball Recap: Mount Vernon Mustangs vs. Brentwood Bruins
Mount Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brentwood Bruins.
The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Brentwood scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18.
Mount Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 19-16. As for Brentwood, their victory bumped their record up to 23-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Baylor the next time they take the court. Brentwood will head out to face Baylor at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Mount Vernon will play them later in the day, at 8:00 a.m.
