Baseball Recap: Borden Comes Up Short

Borden lost to Charlestown back in April of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Braves came up short against the Pirates, falling 10-2. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Michael McVoy made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Garrett Guldenschuh, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Borden's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Charlestown, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Coming up, Borden will square off against Henryville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Charlestown, they will take on Austin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
