Soccer Game Preview: North Crowley vs. Mansfield

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the North Crowley challenge the Mansfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

North Crowley's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Boswell 4-0. Manuel Perez had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Panthers.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mansfield). They put the hurt on Mansfield Legacy with a sharp 4-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Tigers' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

North Crowley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four games. As for Mansfield, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4-2.

North Crowley might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Mansfield in their previous meeting back in January of 2021. Can North Crowley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
