            Basketball Recap: Akron Rams vs. Yuma Outlaws        
        
		
        
        
            Akron lost against Yuma back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Akron Rams took a  blow against the Yuma Outlaws, falling  76-36. The  match marked the Rams' lowest-scoring  game so far this season.

 Akron lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Caleb Poss, who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and 14  boards. Poss is  on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as he's  now  pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's  played.  Anderson Filla was another key player,  going 5 for 12  on his way to 12  points and five  boards.
 Yuma's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Brody Sheffield led the charge by  putting up 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jonathan Thomson, who  posted 19  points and six  rebounds.
Akron's loss was  their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Yuma, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
 Akron didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  49-42  win against Stratton on the 11th. As for Yuma, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  match,  a  72-65  defeat against Simla on the 11th.
