Tooele has gone 7-1 against Hillcrest recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Buffaloes will head out on the road to challenge the Huskies at 3:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Tooele and eight for Hillcrest.

On Saturday, Tooele came up short against Park City and fell 10-6. That's two games in a row now that the Buffaloes have lost by exactly four runs.

Gabe Sutherland was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Madex Vonhatten, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Juan Diego Catholic by a score of 6-1.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Tooele, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Hillcrest's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tooele has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Hillcrest, though, as they've been averaging 9.1 hits. Given Tooele's sizable advantage in that area, the Huskies will need to find a way to close that gap.

Tooele took their victory against Hillcrest when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-11 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buffaloes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
