Basketball Recap: LAMP Comes Up Short

LAMP was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 77-17 defeat at the hands of the Brewbaker Tech Rams. While losing is never fun, the Golden Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while the Rams are ranked 121st).

Brewbaker Tech found their leader in sophomore Ava Louis, who went 12 of 19 from beyond the arc on her way to 36 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Louis has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tariya Respicio, who posted ten points along with eight assists and four steals.

LAMP's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Brewbaker Tech, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8.

LAMP will take on Billingsley in a tournament on Friday. As for Brewbaker Tech, they will welcome Taylor County at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Taylor County will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Brewbaker Tech surely won't give up without a fight.
