Softball Preview: Satsuma Gators vs. Fairhope Pirates

After six games on the road, Satsuma is heading back home. They will take on the Fairhope Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Tuesday, Satsuma got the win against Jackson by a conclusive 9-3.

Belle Sheffield made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Sheffield has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive pitching appearances. Sheffield was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaeden Enzor, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Jaiden Corlett was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Fairhope made sure to put some runs up on the board against Foley on Tuesday. Fairhope was the clear victor by a 10-3 margin over Foley.
