Recap: Borrego Springs Rams vs. Julian Eagles
The Borrego Springs Rams were the 50-48 winner over the Julian Eagles when they last played one another back in February of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Borrego Springs took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Julian. Borrego Springs found out winning isn't easy when you make five fewer threes than your opponent.
When it comes to explaining why Borrego Springs lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Brody White. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 25 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Fernandez, who scored seven points.
Leading Julian to victory were Max Cruz and Kenny Morytko. Cruz scored 12 points, while Morytko scored ten points.
Borrego Springs now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Julian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-7.
Borrego Springs will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Shores at 5:30 p.m. West Shores is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Julian, they will head out on the road to face off against Calexico Mission at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calexico Mission is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
