Basketball Preview: Proctor Rails vs. Cromwell Cardinals

The Proctor Rails will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Cromwell Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.

Proctor's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 93-62 loss at the hands of Hermantown. Proctor has not had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Cromwell put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Cook County 80-59.

Cromwell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brady Dahl, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Dahl hasn't dropped below 16 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Drew Nyberg, who scored 17 points along with two steals.

Proctor dropped their record down to 4-15 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Cromwell, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Proctor strolled past the Cardinals in their previous matchup back in December of 2021 by a score of 65-50. Does Proctor have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cardinals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
