It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Amundsen had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Taft Eagles as they made off with a 5-1 win. Mia Solano had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Amundsen.

Amundsen pushed their record up to 8-5-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those six games. As for Taft, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-8-1.

Amundsen and Taft are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Vikings will challenge Whitney Young at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Taft, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Von Steuben at 4:30 p.m.
