Evangelical Christian has gone  a perfect 9-0 against Fayette Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Thursday. The Eagles will head out to  face off against the Vikings  at 7:00  p.m. Fayette Academy took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Evangelical Christian, who comes in off a win.
Evangelical Christian took a loss when they played away from home  on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Tuesday. They came out on top against Northpoint Christian by a score of  5-2.
 Bennett Edwards spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

 At the plate,  Banks Addison was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing four bases while going 2-for-3. Those  four  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high.  Kyle Mabie was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run.
Meanwhile, Fayette Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They came up short against  University School of Jackson, falling  21-2.
 Fayette Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Parker Moss, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  double. That  double marked the first that  Moss  hit this season.
 Evangelical Christian has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Fayette Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Thursday's   match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Evangelical Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Fayette Academy struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Evangelical Christian was able to grind out a solid  victory over Fayette Academy in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024, winning  5-2. Do  the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
