Monroe waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They took down the Bainbridge Bearcats 59-40. 59 seems to be a good number for the Golden Tornadoes as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Monroe was led to victory by Nehemiah Tinch and Lorenzo Still. Tinch went 7 for 16 on his way to 17 points, while Still posted 15 points. What's more, Tinch also racked up two assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was James Adams, who scored eight points.

Monroe has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Bainbridge, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Monroe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 66-65 loss against Dougherty on the 1st. As for Bainbridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-34 defeat against Peach County on the 1st.
