Basketball Recap: Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Comes Up Short

Garner-Hayfield/Ventura lost against North Union back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Union Warriors. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Garner-Hayfield/Ventura's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for North Union, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garner-Hayfield/Ventura will face off against Eagle Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Eagle Grove's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for North Union, they will take on Lake Mills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Mills will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something North Union surely won't give up without a fight.
