Basketball Game Preview: Callisburg Wildcats vs. Pilot Point Bearcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Callisburg Wildcats challenge the Pilot Point Bearcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday... Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Callisburg is headed into Friday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They had to suffer through a 63-30 loss at the hands of Ponder. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 781st, while the Lions are ranked 184th).

Meanwhile, Pilot Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 31st straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt an 88-12 loss at the hands of Paradise.

Pilot Point's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Callisburg, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7.

Callisburg strolled past Pilot Point in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 38-21. Does Callisburg have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pilot Point turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
