After a string of five wins, Murrieta Mesa's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Great Oak Wolfpack. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolfpack this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss on April 7th.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Great Oak scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-20.

Murrieta Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 35-4. As for Great Oak, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 25-3.

As of now, neither Murrieta Mesa nor the Wolfpack have any future games scheduled.
