Softball Recap: Chuckey-Doak Black Knights vs. Johnson County Longhorns

Chuckey-Doak won the last time they faced Johnson County and things went their way on Monday too. The Black Knights walked away with a 15-11 win over the Longhorns.

Jayden Myers made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four). She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emmie Tipton, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tralyn Southerland, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
