Basketball Recap: King's Ridge Christian Skates Past Mount Pisgah Christian with Ease

There's no place like home for King's Ridge Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past the Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots 83-51 on Tuesday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Patriots are ranked 489th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading King's Ridge Christian to victory were Zeplin Kidd and Charles Bryant. Kidd went 13 for 18 on his way to 31 points and five boards, while Bryant went 8 of 9 en route to 20 points. The dominant performance gave Kidd a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Neal, who posted nine points.

King's Ridge Christian pushed their record up to 8-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.8 points per game. As for Mount Pisgah Christian, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Coincidentally, King's Ridge Christian and Mount Pisgah Christian will both be playing Mount Vernon the next time they take the court. Mount Pisgah Christian will head out to face Mount Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while King's Ridge Christian will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
