Football Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

Lakeland fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Auburndale on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They and the Auburndale Bloodhounds were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered a 13-12 defeat. If the Dreadnaughts were looking for revenge after losing 19-13 to the Bloodhounds when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The critical scores for Auburndale came from Demi Serman, Jaklayla Holland, and Reagan Guidry.

Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Auburndale, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Lakeland will square off against Davenport at 7:00 p.m. on March 13th. As for Auburndale, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 31-0 victory against Discovery on the 6th.
