Basketball Game Preview: Tharptown Wildcats vs. Covenant Christian Eagles

The Tharptown Wildcats will challenge the Covenant Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tharptown will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Tuesday, Tharptown ended up a good deal behind Cherokee and lost 48-31.

Meanwhile, Covenant Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 68-49 bruising from Wilson. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while the Warriors are ranked 113th).

Covenant Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Tharptown, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Tharptown took a serious blow against Covenant Christian in their previous matchup back in February of 2018, falling 64-30. Can Tharptown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
