Basketball Recap: Smithville Comes Up Short

Smithville came up into this matchup off a tough 35-point loss last Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Winnetonka Griffins by a score of 69-66 on Friday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Griffins recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Smithville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Winnetonka, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Smithville will face off against Raytown South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winnetonka, they will take on Grandview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
