Soccer Recap: Wheeler Beats Marietta for Their Third Straight Victory

While Wheeler's victory against Marietta wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wheeler Wildcats beat the Marietta Blue Devils by a goal, winning 2-1. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by just one goal.

The win (which was Wheeler's third in a row) raised their record to 3-6. As for Marietta, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheeler will challenge Sprayberry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheeler's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Marietta, they will square off against Hillgrove at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillgrove will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Marietta surely won't give up without a fight.
