League recap: Fairview climbs in standings with win

A District 1 recap September 10, 2013

Fairview was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from seventh to third in A District 1. Earlier in the week, the Yellowjackets triumphed over Pioneer-Pleasant Vale 34-0.

Beaver scaled the state rankings by moving to 193 from 248 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Dusters climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Stanton County 19-0.

Scott Dobrinski provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Okeene defeated Cashion. He completed 8 passes for 62 yards and also ran for 160 yards. Dobrinski's favorite target this week was Will Bedwell, who caught 3 passes for 36 yards.

Dylan Cain put up the best numbers through the air as Beaver bested the Trojans. He had a total of 3 completions for 33 yards.

Bedwell was the best receiver in the league this week as the Whippets defeated the Wildcats. Mike Dobrinski helped Okeene's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 14 yards.

Dobrinski was the best running back in A District 1 this week. Cade Mitch also contributed to the rushing game with 79 yards on the ground.

Hooker fell to Clayton 40-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
