Volleyball Recap: Evergreen Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Evergreen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Fairview Apaches. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Apaches from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 23-25, 25-15, 25-21.

Lanae Manz paced Evergreen's offense, picking up 17 kills. Manz got some help from Lissa Roesti and her 29 assists. Manz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Liberty Vogelsong was a one-woman wrecking crew For Fairview. as she had 14 digs and three aces. Vogelsong is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Evergreen's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Fairview, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Evergreen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Hicksville on the 20th. As for Fairview, they will take on Antwerp at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
