Starmount has gone 8-2 against Alleghany recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Rams will square off against the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Starmount is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering North Stokes just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1.

Starmount's goal came courtesy of Amy Ocampo, who's now up to 16 this season.

Meanwhile, Alleghany kept a clean sheet against East Wilkes on Monday. They skirted past the Cardinals 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Alleghany were the better team in the second half.

Starmount's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7-1. As for Alleghany, their win bumped their record up to 4-11-2.

Starmount took their victory against Alleghany when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 5-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
