Softball Recap: Ray Sets Scoring Season-High Against San Manuel

Ray extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping their season record down to 8-18 in the process. They lost 37-27 to the San Manuel Miners. On the bright side, the 27- run performance marked the Bearcats' highest-scoring match to date.

Krishel Sims made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of her six plate appearances with one home run, seven RBI, and four runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Jillian Figueroa was another key player, getting on base in three of her six plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

As for San Manuel, they pushed their record up to 6-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by ten runs or more this season.

On San Manuel's side, they got a massive performance out of Cienna Maghinay, who fired off three triples, four runs, and five RBI while going 5-for-7. Those three triples gave Maghinay a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gyannah Mardrid, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with six runs, six RBI, and one triple.

As of now, neither Ray nor San Manuel have any future games scheduled.
