Basketball Game Preview: Citizens Christian Academy Patriots vs. Terrell Academy Eagles

The Citizens Christian Academy Patriots will face off against the Terrell Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Citizens Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Terrell Academy likes a good challenge.

Citizens Christian Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They managed a 61-55 victory over Montgomery County. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Eagles are ranked 522nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Terrell Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to Deerfield-Windsor at home by a 43-29 margin. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Citizens Christian Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Terrell Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Citizens Christian Academy strolled past Terrell Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 61-42. Will Citizens Christian Academy repeat their success, or does Terrell Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
