Cordd Baker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Damian Serrano, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Eastmark suffered their closest loss since March 28, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Walden Grove by a score of 10-8.
Jack Rosales was cooking despite his team's loss, going 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Matthew Kee was another key player, going 1-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Eastmark has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Poston Butte, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.
Poston Butte's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's matchup. The Broncos have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Eastmark, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Poston Butte continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Poston Butte's way against Eastmark in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Poston Butte made off with an 11-5 win.
