Recap: Bonanza Antlers vs. Modoc Braves
On Wednesday, Bonanza didn't have too much trouble with Modoc on the road as they won 62-47. Given Bonanza's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 72nd in Oregon, while Modoc is ranked 1116th in California), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Modoc's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Maddox, who scored 9 points along with 13 rebounds. Maddox has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Adin Benson, who scored 8 points along with 13 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Bonanza and bumps their season record up to 2-1. As for Modoc, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Bonanza will be playing at home against Myrtle Point at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Modoc, they will take on Quincy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
