Basketball Recap: Summit Christian Academy Skates Past TEACH Homeschool with Ease

Summit Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the TEACH Homeschool Beach Breakers 62-32. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-14.

Leading Summit Christian Academy to victory were Cole Miller and Chase Miller. Cole went 8 of 9 en route to 16 points and five rebounds, while Chase went 5 for 8 on his way to 17 points and six boards. Wade Austin was another key player, putting up six points.

TEACH Homeschool lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aiden Dickson, who posted eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Wilkins, who had 11 points.

Summit Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for TEACH Homeschool, their defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13.

Summit Christian Academy will host Spirit HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Spirit HomeSchool knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Summit Christian Academy likes a good challenge. TEACH Homeschool has already played their next matchup (against Bethel Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
