L'Anse extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-5 in the process. They lost 12-5 to the Wright Red Devils. On the bright side, the five- run effort marked the Purple Hornets' highest-scoring matchup to date.

As for Wright, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.

For Wright's part, the team relied heavily on Robert Roberts, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Roberts has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Madden Sommer, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. L'Anse is set to take on their familiar foe Jeffers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wright will face off against rival Ewen-Trout Creek at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
