Baseball Recap: Post Falls Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Post Falls's offense. They fell just short of the Skyview Hawks by a score of 2-0 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly two runs.

Post Falls got a good showing from Gavin Wienker, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Wienker a new career-low in earned runs (zero).

Post Falls' defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Skyview, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.

Looking ahead, Post Falls will take on Rigby in a tournament on Saturday. The last three games Rigby has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Skyview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lewiston at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
