Baseball Game Preview: Neuqua Valley Wildcats vs. Oswego East Wolves

The Neuqua Valley Wildcats will challenge the Oswego East Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Neuqua Valley fell victim to Plainfield North and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 15-0. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Neuqua Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Chiz, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Oswego East came up short against Waubonsie Valley on Wednesday and fell 6-2.

Oswego East also got a good showing from Caden Bregar, who pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

Oswego East's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Neuqua Valley, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

Everything went Neuqua Valley's way against Oswego East when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Neuqua Valley made off with a 12-5 win. Will Neuqua Valley repeat their success, or does Oswego East has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
