Baseball Recap: Portola Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Portola's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Laguna Beach Breakers on Wednesday. The shutout was out of character for the Bulldogs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Portola saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keyan Park, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Portola has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Laguna Beach, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

While Portola had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
