Baseball Recap: La Center Wildcats vs. Colville Crimson Hawks
It's playoff time, and La Center had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Colville Crimson Hawks 5-4. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crimson Hawks on Saturday, too.
Gunnar Schockelt was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Justin Fuller was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April.
