Volleyball Recap: Ipswich Takes a Loss

Ipswich was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Pentucket Regional, falling 3-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pentucket Regional apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21, 25-18.

Among those leading the charge was Emma Burkinshaw, who had seven aces and five digs. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high.

Ipswich's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Pentucket Regional, they pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ipswich will square off against rival Hamilton-Wenham Regional at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pentucket Regional is set to challenge their familiar foe Triton Regional at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
