Volleyball Game Preview: Burlingame Panthers vs. Carlmont Scots

Burlingame has gone 8-2 against Carlmont recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Panthers will host the Scots at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Sequoia came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Burlingame, but Sam Hollrah wouldn't allow it. The Panthers put the hurt on the Ravens with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Hollrah, who had 14 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Carlmont hadn't done well against Aragon recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Scots blew past the Dons 3-0.

Carlmont got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-7, 25-21.

Carlmont has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Burlingame, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.
