 Paradise Valley is 0-7 against Desert Mountain since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Monday. The Paradise Valley Trojans will be staying on the road  to face off against the Desert Mountain Wolves at 3:45  p.m.
 Last Wednesday, Paradise Valley suffered a  tough 16-1 loss at the hands of Centennial.
 Paradise Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Maddie Ryan, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Meanwhile, Desert Mountain waltzed into their match  on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Firebirds by a score of  4-0. Give Desert Mountain's pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
  Lilly Goodwin made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. Goodwin has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than seven  innings in six consecutive pitching appearances. Goodwin was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-3 with a  home run, two  RBI,  and a  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Zoe Horning, who  went 1-for-1 with a  home run.
 Paradise Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Desert Mountain, their victory was  their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 15-3.
