Softball Recap: El Camino Comes Up Short

After flying high against Woodland last Tuesday, El Camino came back down to earth. The El Camino Eagles lost 15-2 to the Casa Roble Rams on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost nine in a row.

Claire Schwartz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

El Camino's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-5. As for Casa Roble, they pushed their record up to 4-4-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Camino will venture away from home to take on Destiny Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Destiny Christian Academy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Casa Roble, they will head out to challenge Dixon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
