Basketball Recap: Tuluksak Falls to Akiachak in First Game of Season

Tuluksak kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 35-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Akiachak Huskies. The Wolverines' loss continues a trend for the team, making it 14 in a row dating back to last season.

Tuluksak lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Leandra Napoka, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesslyn Allain, who scored eight points.

Tuluksak didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-34 defeat against Akiak on the 11th. As for Akiachak, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-47 win against Tuluksak on the 11th.
