Football Recap: Soquel Piles Up the Points Against Aptos

Soquel strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Aptos Mariners 49-14. 49 seems to be a good number for the Knights as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Soquel got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Keyandre Bailey out in front who rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Sam Whelan was another key signal caller, throwing for 108 yards and three TDs.

Soquel's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Aptos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Soquel is set to face off against their familiar foe Salinas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Aptos will square off against rival Carmel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
