Volleyball Recap: Leland Takes a Loss

Leland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Piedmont Hills Pirates. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Leland's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Piedmont Hills, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Leland will take on rival Evergreen Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Piedmont Hills is set to square off against their familiar foe Branham at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
