Softball Recap: Castor Comes Up Short

If Castor was feeling good fresh off their 11-4 takedown of Converse last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Hicks Pirates by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday.

Castor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylie Shirley, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Castor's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Hicks, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-5.

While Castor had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Wednesday.
