Basketball Recap: Sullivan East Falls Despite Big Games from Kaden Hicks and Eli Hubbard

Sullivan East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-46 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lebanon Pioneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Patriots have suffered since February 17, 2024.

Despite the loss, Sullivan East had strong showings from Eli Hubbard, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 boards, and Kaden Hicks, who went 6 of 13 en route to 15 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Hubbard also racked up three steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024.

Sullivan East's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Lebanon, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Sullivan East has already played their next matchup (against Tennessee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lebanon has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Marion.
