Basketball Recap: Orangeburg Prep Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Orangeburg Prep extended their road winning streak to seven games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Tilden Riley. The Orangeburg Prep Indians strolled past the Colleton Prep Academy War Hawks with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 62-48 thanks in part to Riley, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 19 rebounds. Those 19 boards gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Avery Ravenell, who posted eight points in addition to five assists and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Colleton Prep Academy lost, don't look at Mateo Castillo. Despite the final result, he had 31 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Walker, who put up six points.

Orangeburg Prep's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Colleton Prep Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Orangeburg Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 65-58 victory against Greenwood Christian on the 9th. As for Colleton Prep Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-49 win against Jefferson Davis Academy on the 7th.
