Troy waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Sidney Yellowjackets get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Riley King made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mimi Shaw, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Alexis Ater was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Troy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive contests.

Troy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Sidney, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Looking ahead, Troy will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Harrison at 11:00 a.m. Sidney will be paying especially close attention to the Trojans' matchup: after the Trojans face off against Bradford, they'll take on Sidney again at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
