Basketball Game Preview: Meigs County Tigers vs. McMinn Central Chargers

Meigs County hasn't had much luck against McMinn Central recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Meigs County Tigers will take on the McMinn Central Chargers. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If McMinn Central heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Meigs County took over last week. Meigs County walked away with a 53-41 victory over Sequatchie County on Friday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, McMinn Central waltzed into their contest on Monday with 26 straight wins... but they left with 27. They breezed past the Bears to the tune of 76-49. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Bears are ranked 107th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meigs County's record is now 19-10. As for McMinn Central, their record now sits at 28-1.

Meigs County took a serious blow against McMinn Central in their previous matchup back in January, falling 64-31. Can Meigs County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
