Basketball Game Preview: St. George's Dragons vs. Davenport Gorillas

St. George and Davenport are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The St. George's Dragons will head out to square off against the Davenport Gorillas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, St. George's strolled past Kettle Falls with points to spare, taking the game 53-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Davenport, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Kettle Falls by a score of 67-55 on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Gorillas as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The victory got St. George's back to even at 8-8. As for Davenport, their record now sits at 7-10.

St. George's couldn't quite finish off Davenport in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 and fell 67-65. Can St. George's avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
