Football Recap: Ridgeview Takes a Loss

Ridgeview had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it four. They were dealt a 56-20 defeat at the hands of the Impact Christian Academy Lions. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 30-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Impact Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Andrew Wright Jr was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 220 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 passes. Those four passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Alexander Lee did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 79 receiving yards.

Looking ahead, Ridgeview will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Yellow Jackets have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for Impact Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Fernandina Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
