Softball Recap: Hunterdon Central Comes Up Short

Hunterdon Central's last matchup with Watchung Hills Regional could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Red Devils lost 10-2 to the Warriors.

Hunterdon Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Apgar, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Hunterdon Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Watchung Hills Regional, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hunterdon Central will host Robbinsville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Watchung Hills Regional, they will face off against Passaic Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
